Last fall I took a painting workshop online with my dearest friend, Alissa Davies. It was just what I needed and precisely when I needed it. I’m not a painter, but I love colour and play and intuition and Alissa, so I knew it would work out. For days and weeks after, I couldn’t wait to run up to the studio to put a few moments into finishing the paintings started in that workshop. One of them now hangs in our bathroom, a bright mess of colour that will stay until it no longer makes me smile.
Alissa is offering another workshop series, starting next week. Each of the four sessions will address a different theme: colour, value, composition, and pattern. I’m going to attend, see what bubbles up this time.
